Ofrex 50/60 staples

  • I have some original Ofrex 50/60 staples, do you still need them?
  • Yes please. How many do you have/how much?
  • I only have one box, it's full but they are not in strips, some are silver and some are a copper colour. It's a very old box, probably 30 years old at least, I have loads of Ofrex stationery from when they were in Business. How much do you want to pay for this vintage good? Lol :)
  • Depends. Will the box fit through a letterbox, or will I need a van?;)

The Rapesco ones I bought were around £2 per thousand, but yours have added scarcity value!

Tell me what you want for them (+postage) and I'll send you a postal order.
  • Hiya, I was joking, you can have them for free, I don't need them, not sure how to sort that out though? There are actually some genuine ofrex 50/60 staples on Ebay now, being sold with the stapler. Think there is 3 boxes that come with the stapler, i looked for you the other day. Why do you need them out of interest? Lol

    Good luck

  • Hi,

Thanks for the tip, yes they are the same size, so I will put in a bid before it ends.

Why do I want them? Well, I've had my stapler for about 25 years, and it's as good as when i bought it, so I would rathe keep using it than give in to manufacturers who want to sell me a new one.

Many thanks for you interest and help,

    Good Luck,

    Steve

SUCCESS!!!!!!!! Excuse the shouting but I finally found some 50/60 replacements. Rapesco's 14/5mm staples will fit the Ofrex 50/60 machine, these can be found on the net including fleabay, where I picked up 5000 for 99p plus postage. Thanks again tanyaturner.

What a thing! We seem to have a stash of Rapesco 14/5mm staples in our office for reasons which escape me. As the organisation's environment manager, I am currently on a mission to find a stapler that fits them but I am reaching the end of my teather. If Office Depot can't come up with a suitable one, we will have quite a few boxes ready for recycling.

Let me know if you'd like to provide a good home for them instead!
  • Hi,
Very late on this but have you still got those 14/5 staples Regards
  • I was wondering if anyone knows what staples fit the Ofrex Nipper stapler? Does it use the staples you have been describing as 50/60 staples, or are they for a different stapler? The box of staples just says Ofrex Nipper, with no numbers.

This is the best stapler ever invented, and it has worked perfectly ever since I got it in Canada in 1968. It uses small staples, and I can't find anything here in the US that fits.
