'Run on UK' sees foreign investors pull $1 trillion out of the City

South China is one of the great manufacturing areas in the world. And just as thousands of factories sprouted over the past few years, covering every inch of hundreds of miles along the southern coast, now they are being vacated and abandoned at alarming speed.
In manufacturing - from Germany, to Japan, to this vast coastal strip that sucked in millions of migrant workers from China's impoverished countryside - what's going on is a fully-fledged crisis.
In Japan, there's what increasingly looks like a manufacturing depression, a fall in annual output of a tenth or more.
its called correction. a natural phenomenon that has to occur in phases after uncontrolled or a rapid expansion. supply and demand.
in many ways protectionism has been around in the UK for decades.though subtle. unfortunately lately the EU menbership and EU laws has come into picture.0 -
Eventually we will be forced to pull out of the EU and will make savings on the amount of money we pay into the beaurocracy. We will then be able to protect jobs in the UK, expatriate foreigners and make sure the few jobs we have here are taken by UK citizens.
I said all along that we would do this and I'll be proved right. QE is bad and we are heading for Hyper Inflation. Prtoect yourselves, protect your families. Build a bunker, save yourselves!!
just imagine other countries doing the same. whatever little exports britain has will be shunned in the name of protectionism.
are u living in a different planet.0 -
You're a BNP idiot. Sadly there'll be a lot more people seduced by your bullpoo in the next few years I suspect.
I wrote a nice argument to contradict you but I really can't be bothered. You, Zammo and all those other BNP supporting idiots aren't worth the time to think about the argument let alone type it.
Is he really BNP?0 -
thats the trouble with making any comment on immigration, you get branded a racist. I said we should have stronger borders, repatriate foreigners (such as the French, Polish, Germans and other EU citizens) who are here and allow UK citizens (of all race, colours and religions) to have their jobs. Anyone who has a British Passport is British in my view. If any of the EU citizens want to stay here they would be welcome as long as they take GB citizenship. Its not about race it's about nationhood.
That' s an interesting concept you've got there.
Then again, should the french government repatriate the 1.000.000 english people living in France and confiscate all their properties/assets and should the spanish government do the same?More bearish than bullish at the moment0 -

I don't think he mentioned anything about confiscating property, and although a somewhat extreme view which I don't agree with he doesn't appear racist (I am referring to his further explanation)0 -
Ah yes son, but you never answered the question that Stevetodd asked you.... !! you're not by any chance a politician, are you?0

So Mr. WFT. Do you or have you ever purchased foreign goods? What sort of TV do you watch? Was it made in Britain? Do you only buy locally produced vegetables? Was your car made in the UK, using only British sourced components? Have you ever used a service company in the UK that employs 'foreign' labour? Where are your clothers produced? Do you ever drink alchohol? Where is it produced? Have you ever seen a foreign produced film, or do you only watch English produced stuff? Have you ever listened to music from people beyond these shores? The usual stuff
It must be really hard to keep the 'faith' when all around you is a global world.0
