Our Hoover 3470 died yesterday after 4 years of ownership. We bought a panasonic bagless cylinder about 12 months ago as thought it would be lighter for the stairs etc.
Piad £140 it was absolute rubbish.
Was going to just get another hoover upright bagged to replace the old one but have been reading some awful reviews.
Can anybody recommend a decent upright hoover please or a good site for reviews. Only come accross which and don't fancy subscribing.
Thanks

In my opinion you can't beat a Henry or a VaxOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
I've always wanted to get a Dyson, but apparently they're not as good as they are cracked up to be.
However I heard that Miele do a good one, but I'm no expert.
At the moment I have a tiny Dustbuster, as I have floorboards not carpeting right now.
Will be paying attention to this thread then.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
The Dyson DC07 animal is good. We had a problem after 3 years of it motor cutting out. Dyson came on Friday and replaced the motor for free thats aftre 3 years of use. They also supplied me with a new filter and cyclone thing.
I am sure you can now pick this model up for £120 or so.0 -

Don't touch the Dyson.
The brand to buy is Sebo
Go for a Sebo 4 Extra, you should be able to get one of t'internet for £200 use pricerunner for a list of best prices.
Trust me Sebo is the Rolls Royce of vacumm cleaners.0 -
I recently had a bagged hoover. It was awful, the beater bar thing stopped working after 2 months. We went with Hoover as my mum always had them when we were little and they were great, but obviously times have changed!
Just for extra info, she currently has a Dyson and hates it. Its loosing its suction and is really heavy. She won't have another one when it breaks.0 -
I need a new vacuum too. I have just seen this Vax on Ebay for £15 & £10 p&p.
It is a bagless Vax, regraded (a fixed return).
Reviews on Amazon & dooyoo seem pretty good but I am a bit sceptical that it is so cheap?!
