I have the same problem with my daughter. She needs shoes for Latin/Salsa and has found the prices horrendous. https://www.dancesport.uk.com/shoes/index.htm has the correct styles, but they are £31.95 + VAT + P&P. Our local dance shop has a very small range and seems to add 50% to the online prices! She tends to cheat by searching out High St and online styles that look right but don't have the suede soles. They aren't as comfortable for dancing and wear out quite quickly, as she sometimes dances 3 times a week - it's an expensive hobby!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

A friend of mine found the same problem. She got her daughters feet measured for the particular shoes she needed at a dance shop (sometimes dance shoe sizes can vary can't they?), and then she went onto e-bay and bought some brand new ones for half the price!0

We used the following company for our daughters dancewear/ shoes, saved a fortune on local dance shop prices - excellant service too, order delivered very promptly.

Edit - please ignore, just noticed your other posting re. Latin - they don't appear to sell them.0 -

Ebay usually have loads on or you could ask the other parents if they've got some their kids have grown out of - my daughter's dance school sell them for parents at much lower prices ie £5 for a pair of tap shoes.0

I get my daughters dance shoes off Ebay, the last pair was £1.20 and were practically new, they are £18 to buy new.

I buy dance wear from the internet. saves a fortune. I get my daughter to try on shoes in local shop for sizes. Then advise the salesperson that I can't afford them just now. Go home and order. WWW.dancewear2u.co.uk has a good selection and price ok0
