Mouse in the pantry! Can I still use food stored in there?

I definitely have a mouse in the pantry! It's nibbled some fairy cakes.
I also have wheat grain in the pantry in a large 25kg sack. I have a grain mill and usually grind the grain to make bread.
Should I *gulp* throw it out? There's about 10kg in there. There aren't any signs of rodent visits though.
What would you do? Would you chuck out all that grain or would you carry on using it?

I heard on Farming Today a couple of weeks ago that most grain has rodent droppings in it  So unless it's grossly contaminated, then I'd probably continue with it
I'll add this to the main mouse thread later.

I would carry on using it but I would transfer it into a clean black plastic dustbin or something similar to risk further contamination. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I'd carry on using the grain as long as there is no evidence that the mouse has been in it.
Can I ask you where you get your 25 kg bags of grain from and what kind of mill you use?0 -
i would use the grain - as people have said mice are everywhere
in the old days mice would have been in everyone's pantry at some point...

I've been looking at buying wheat, found this site that sells 3 different sizes and also sells a hand grain mill

Its best stored in food grade buckets with a lid, rather than a sack.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
Yes, put it in a plastic container! We've just spend a load of money on plastic containers because of a mouse who's moved into the kitchen! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I remember my gran's pantry. She had a mouse/mice that would be sitting eating almost everytime you opened the door.
One day I remember it sitting quite happily nibbling away on top of a head of celery when I opened the door to get a biscuit. It did'nt hurry to run away and I was quite fond of it actually.
My gran lived to a ripe old age and we're still all here so it did'nt harm us.0 -

I get mine from http://www.browfarm.co.uk/online_sto...ing_grains.htm too. I've been using them for 2 years - ever since i started grinding.
My advice would be: DO NOT GET A HAND GRINDER!!! It's just not realistic unless you're planning on grinding once in a blue moon.
The best person to talk to regarding grinders is this lady: http://www.hehlis-holistics.com/shop_content.php?coID=7
I have this one http://www.hehlis-holistics.com/product_info.php?products_id=95&cPath=7_9 and absolutely love it! yes, is £200+ but it will outlive me.
(BTW, I have no vested interest in the company above)"Finish each day And be done with it.
