our local charity shop has a little basket next to the till, they put jewellery in it and broken watches,I found an Omega watch 18c gold for 20p,this was about 6 years ago,I have just sold it for £225.00 it needs a bit of repair work.
  • best bargain was when my mum ordered my tv/video combi for Xmas one year!

Delivery man turns up with 2! We thought we would "wait and see" what happened! ;)

Anyway, about a week later the company phones up! Busted I thought! But....... the person on the phone says "sorry we didn't deliver your order on time. Just to let you know it will be with you tomorrow!" :rotfl:

I didn't know what to say! Just mumbled "ok, no probs"!

Anyway my mum felt guilty so phoned them back saying sorry, my son didn't realise but it had already come (only said about the 1 though)! They said OK thanks for letting us know!

Anyway we thought that was the end of it but a week later ANOTHER one turned up! :rotfl:

My mum told the delivery man to take it back! If I'd answered the door I would have taken it! ;) :rotfl:

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I think my best bargain was my digital piano for £450 off eBay sounds loads but it would have cost me £1200 new, so it was a huge saving.
