I would like to eat more of this stuff, but have only seen it in health food shops for extortionate prices! Does anyone know where I could get it more cheaply, either in Belfast or online?

Thanks. :D

Would the Asian Supermarket on the Ormeau Road or the Chinese Supermarket on Donegall Pass sell it?

Theres a fab shop on Fountain Street (I think) at the back entrance of Boots in Belfast City Centre, as if you are walking up to Craftworld, just on the right hand side. I wandered in by accident last week for the first time and it is like a treasure trove of wonderful special foods, deli stuff, hams, cheeses and every packet of foreign type food you can imagine - not sure how their prices compare though?
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

I occasionally shop in Sawer's, their prices would make your eyes water though! Must check it out but not holding out much hope for cheapness!

    Thanks for the posts guys.

To be honest, I don't think Sawyers is as good as it used to be. I was in before Christmas and I was disappointed with some of the stuff I saw and some of the stuff I bought. Saying that, it is the place to go for something out of the ordinary.

I buy a mix of white rice and wild rice in Sainsbury's. Not too pricey and super yummy with a salad!

Try The Nutmeg health shop in Lombard Street, Belfast. They're great for well-priced herbs and spices too.
