Coconut oil rubbed in the scalp overnight use a old pillowslip and washed off in the morning I do this once a month I am 59 and get comments how my long shiny hair is in great condition. I had short spikey hair just a year ago and wanted it long to save on hairdressers its now down to just past my shoulders.

For the last year stopped using shampoo. Wash in warm water, thoroughly cleaning the scalp with fingers & a final rinse with rainwater collected from water butt. Every day brush & comb thoroughly distributing natural oils all the way through (hair is just past shoulder length).

My scalp & hair is in excellent condition. Initially I was concerned it would smell unwashed & look greasy. Not so.

Incidentally, the greys which when washed with shampoo stick out at all angles, are now soft & sleek (& coloured with henna!) & lie down with the rest of the hair.

'No Poo' - I recommend it!

Indian shops... thats where I got mine from. Very cheap, perhaps £1.59 or something like that.
WATCH OUT!!!!! I tried to be clever and left it in my hair overnight. At about 5am the next morning i felt something in my hair, i screamed my head off and ran to the shower, lol. Leave it in for a few hours or the whole day if you have to, but i dont advise sleeping in it. bad memories, lol....
