in It's gone, but was it any good?
Spotted on another forum this afternoon, the complete series 1 of Dinner Ladies now only £1.96 at Amazon.

Plus shipping of course unless you add it to another order to go over £15 :)

Series 2 is also available at £4.96.

    I have nothing else I want from Amazon so no use to me. Great find though- can anyone find anything else this cheap? Like when there were lots of cds at this price.

    Try combining with a pre-order to take the order over £15.

    I did this with my Harry Potter pre-order. They sent the other stuff I had combined with the book immediately. Worth a try. You can always cancel whatever you pre-ordered.

    Well, this site lists some other cheap DVDs at Amazon, a few good ones amongst the usual junk - you may find enough for free postage!

    Cheap DVDs include Van Helsing, Lemony Snicket, Mad Max, Shaun of the Dead etc etc..!

    Thanks for the link- have bookmarked. In the spirit of living within my means, though, I'm going to leave my card in my purse for now! Spent ages last week topping my Amazon order to £15 when buying a book not available locally.

    The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

    £19.99 is expensive for a dvd particularly one now so old. What is Amazon playing at? Glad I got in at the old price

    On searches from a number of sites on the web its still showing as £1.96 - methinks amazon is up to dirty tricks..

    Its probably because of demand, and they shove the prices up, hoping some fool will buy a very old dvd. Dont know if they think the British public are that gullable. I never buy a dvd at £15 quick let alone an old one.

    Thats why I wait for bargains like this and a few others. There great for pressies too.
