need a suit in manchester

Hi,

Wife is forcing me to buy a suit this weekend since we have some friends weddings coming up...

Just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere good with sales on in the manchester area... Don't really shop for clothes much so without any tips will probably just head to the arndale...

Thanks!

I find that Marks and Spencers do relatively good quality suits at a reasonable price.
I bought my son a dinner suit from there for £50 for his prom, which was about the same as hiring it and he has worn it three times, one of which was to a fancy dress as James Bond, so it was money well spent as they never go out of fashion.

Yeah, Marskies have some nice suits at reasonable prices.

Topman had some nice ones the other week. I saw one I liked for £45. Just Blazer and pants.
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:
  • DH gets his from Slaters Menswear, I think its a bit 'are you being served' but they are good quality and they do any alterations that you may need. I think he got his last one for about £100.

I believe they are in Picadilly Gardens.

Have a walk round Moss Side with your wallet showing..you will soon end up in a nice grey concrete suit in a pillar holding up a motorway flyover ; )

What size suit are you? If you tend towards the portly size, try Chatleys up Cheetham Hill near Strangeways.
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...

Hi, I don't know whether this offer is still running but BHS had a 'buy a suit for £69 or over and get a free shirt, tie and shoes'. I can't see it online but it might be worth checking in store.

I can endorse Salters. I went with my son when he bought a suit there recently and they have a wide selection of styles & prices.
It's on Brown Street, which is the street off Market St with the Tesco Metro on the corner.

Baronjon in the Trafford Centre had some really good prices on suits yesterday evening.
Just started comping - 1/12/08 - keep your fingers crossed!
