easter wrapping paper?

Hi, I had a quick look today in a few card shops and a major supermarket and couldn't believe how hard it is to find Easter paper. I could find lots of mothers day paper with spring flowers on etc but I want to make some gift bags for eater using wrapping paper and they need to be ok to give to male relatives so I would prefer paper with easter eggs or something on?? (It also needs to be quite good quality so the bags are quite tough to hold the gifts.)Any ideas anyone??

Brown paper lunch bags (79p for 10 Home Bargains)

Cut out decorations from card making kit (poundshop)

Not sure if that helps but will certainly be MSE :D

  • Have you tried Card Warehouse? I have seen them stock Mother's Day paper so they may do Easter too

Where do you live? My local card shop (Bath) has a fair bit, if you're desperate let me know, I could send you some up. Alternatively ypu could perhaps use yellow card?

I go with tissue paper for easter, either green yellow or orange. I also have some white with yellow polka dots on it but admittedly I bought it in America last year

  • Gran Torino - Thanks, yes I have tried Card Warehouse and they do have loads of mothers day paper but no easter stuff.

theVicster - thanks for the lovely offer but I am sure I will find something :) I do have some yellow card ready as a back up!

sethsgran - tissue paper will be too light for what I need the bags for but you have reminded me that I do need to get some tissue paper to put in the bags - thank you!

I can not believe that Easter paper isn't in all the shops but I do't suppose people wrap stuff at easter??

Cant say ive ever really seen easter wrapping paper...
You can buy easter style craft paper but they're square sheets, i would personally buy really plain wrapping paper, or even a roll of coloured paper (i cant for the life of me remember where i have seen rolls of coloured paper...but i know i have)

If all else fails print some patterned paper from t'internet and use this?

Sorry, not much help am i XD

Ladies, check out your local poundland!

I was in today and they have either blue or green sets - you get a gift bag, sheet of wrap and some yellow tissue paper. It has little bunnies and chicks on and says happy easter. It's really quite pretty :)

Card Warehouse sold paper last year, but sure it didn't come out til after mothers day. They had sheets which I think were about 39p each.
