I know this is short notice, but it's our 30th Wedding Anniversary (OMG) on Saturday, and we're looking for somewhere to go. We were going to have a couple of days away, but it has fallen through for one reason and another. Can anyone recommend any restaurants in our area, maybe with entertainment? I'm veggie DH isn't. We both like Fusion, English, Chinese or Thai.
Bit disappointed about the previous plans, but trying to salvage something................

    Hello,

not THAT close - but the new Hghcross iin Leicester is good for a night out, big range of restaurants, cinema close by or there is the new Curve theatre a short walk away. The highcross website has plenty of details.

You could always get a cheap room in the travelodge (also close to city centre) for that authentic last minute feel ;-)

Just a suggestion anyway, may not be suitable I know!

There is a Best Western in Coventry, I have never been disappointed in one of them, although I've never been to that one.

    Thanks, both.
Will have a look at Highcross if I can't find anywhere nearer home. Even a pub with entertainment and food would be okay. I know Cov isn't the best for nightlife, but there must be somewhere???? lol

Try a google for nightlife Coventry and see if anything takes your fancy. Sorry I can't vouch for anything, I've got two students there, but a) they're students! and b) they don't really 'do' nightlife, at least not in the sense I think you mean. All night programming sessions are more their line ...

There is a theatre, and cinemas.
