Exactly so - a thief is a thief in this day an (sic) age too! "Tough" also apparently
Here's another quick tip for those MSE'ers who want to take over-advantage of this offer for personal gain rather than to run fund raising events - apparently some churches still leave unattended donation boxes around with money in them. If you have a heavy duty screwdriver to hand perhaps you can take advantage of that "freebie" too...
No seriously - can I suggest that any posters here who feel angered by Elvis' helpful "contributions" ask themselves a simple question before being tempted to reply?
That question is: "Am I clockwork?"
I mean that in the sense of being easily wound up, naturally.
If the answer is "Yes" please go ahead and get involved in Elvis' jolly japes - if not, take them for what they are, and move swiftly on.
Alternatively, and if you feel strongly about it, I'm sure that an email to the Cafe Direct people with a URL link to this thread will soon produce more stringent vetting of applications, or some effort by them to trace addresses where multiple freebie deliveries have been sent, so that they can enquire how the "events" have been going.0 -
I genuinely wanted to hold an awareness campaign in my school with the fairtrade goodies. I received lots of great samples, bunting balloons and posters, but NOT ONE BIT of information about what Fair trade means, or where the Fair trade produce is sourced or anything!!!!
What's the point of having an awareness campaign if you are not actually informed?0 -

the website has lots of stuff you could print off, reams of leaflets are very heavy so i assume that they dont include them coz their postage costs would be thru teh roof. i mean you got lots of stuff for free anyhoo?:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -

P.S. I've got about a years supply of Original Source shampoo, Shower Gel, Conditioner etc..etc. Also I've got 30 little freebie radios and boxes and boxes of various other freebies. So mate just what the hell has it got to do with you.
I do find this very very sad.
yes freebies are freebies, you're right  . Might i suggest you do some reading up on fair trade, and what workers under non fair trade situations put up with before consuming your freebies all by yourself?:rudolf:0
