CCCS or Payplan for a DMP, which is best?

Hello fellow DFWs!
I've been lurking on this site for a few weeks now and today, for whatever reason, I have finally plucked up the courage to register and deal with my debts. I think it's what's called the LBM!! :T
Anywho, after much research, I think a DMP would be the best way forward for me. I was just wondering who you all think is better to deal with, CCCS or Payplan? They both seem pretty similar, so I'm not sure who to go with...
Hope you can all give me some pointers. Thanks

Hi,
I'm into my second month with Payplan and all seems well.:j The call back was painless and my plan was set up in less than 3 weeks. Didn't need any payslips etc, just creditor details. I have had confirmation from one creditor that they will except my reduced payment and have only received a few calls. So far so good! I think they are both very similar, but for me the CCCS had a longer waiting time. Goodluck.0 -
Im with payplan and every thing has been fine 2years now thay can be a little hard to contact and a little slow to return calls0

Payplan for me, but i really don't think there is a lot to choose between them there are lots on here that say good things about both of them.
I can only comment on my experience but Payplan have been very supportive, have always responded to any queries or requests. Have never judged me or spoken down to me.
CCCS had a longer wait time for a first interview when I first realised I needed help and that was the only reason for my choice at the time . But I haven't regretted it.LBM : March 2008

I agree. No problems with them after 4 years ( can't believe it is that long !). At first I used to phone them, but they were always so busy. Now I email them and always receive a quick responseIm with payplan and every thing has been fine 2years now thay can be a little hard to contact and a little slow to return calls
I'm not sure that they are that much different than each other, but I found having someone sort out all the initial contact and payment offers such a big weight off my mind - I admire anyone who administers their own.
I, too, did not need to forward any payslips or statements - they just took the creditor details over the phone and within a short time it was all sorted.
One bit of advice is that creditors have a habit of left hand not knowing what right hand is doing. For weeks after the DMP had started, one creditor ( should I mention HBOS??) kept saying they had not received any info from Payplan, yet another department had already sent letters to me saying they accepted the offer from Payplan. Contact from creditors does stop after a while, and I haven't heard from any of mine for a long while[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0
