Shoes for office work.

Hi Guys,

Over the past 2 months I have bought three pairs of cheapish black shoes from Barratts, Priceless shoes...and another I forget. Unfortunately the cheap plastic (I assume) soles have not lasted more than 3-4 weeks and the shopping for shoes every few weeks is getting tiresome. I walk to work (20 minutes or so) and back every day but otherwise not doing much.

Does anyone have any tips of places to buy? things to avoid or look for when it comes to soles?

p.s. I am male.

Why not just get a pair re-soled, if the uppers are still OK? Or, if you choose to buy another new pair, take them to the cobbler's and have good-quality soles put on before you wear them.

p.s. I wouldn't throw shoes away until the uppers fell apart. And I'm female.
