Front door doesn't click shut

We have a UPVC front door that no longer 'clicks' shut. The only way to keep it shut is to lift the handle up.
Does anyone know how to fix it please?
Thanks.

Perhaps the door has dropped on its hinges and spring catch is no longer lining up. Are there any gaps around the door frame? Does the door shift when you lift the handle to engage the locks? If this is the case, each hinge should be adjusted, normally with an allan key to line it back up.0

Thanks ic. Just had another look & the door doesn't seem to have dropped. Also, can't see any obvious gaps. The only thing I noticed is when I pull the handle up the door moves into the frame more snugly (but not up or down)? Does that make sense?!
Will try fiddling with the hinges.

My guess is the stricker plate the the door latch clicks into needs slightly adjusting.
Normally 2 or 3 little screws, slacken them off, slide the plate out a little, tighten them up and try the door.
Keep adjusting until it works nicely.0 -
i presume you have applied some sort of lubrication to the latch ie silicon spray or 3in1 spray oil .also sometimes the door sash shrinks and contracts due to the weather if the panel hasnt been packed causing the door not to latchif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0

Your door sounds like it needs toe and healing and the keeps moving as said before, if your door moves when you pull the handle up its putting strain on the locking system and will cause it to fail prematurely.0

This happens with my back door. It's a PVC door with multi locking points. I'm not an expert so am not using the correct words here but it seems like a spring that should push the door latch out after the door is opened has failed and it will only go out when the handle is raised.0
