Using the suet as fat you could make any pastry dishes with a sweet or savory filling of choice (I'd suggest turnovers rather than pies. Or how about some sweet suet puddings - very easy and there's bound to be someone who knows how along soon. I know they can be baked as well as steamed.
Have a good time, it's horrible thick fog here, so it'd be a great day for baking!0 -
I've done the suet pudding in the microwave before and that is a really good recipe (from the MSE collection!!), and that did cross my mind with the jam and tenmake some custard.....any other ideas?
Weather is grey and dull here in Poole, but dry - spent most of this week in Amsterdam with my OH on a few days away on the cheap and it rained every day :-("Stay Wonky":D

Have you tried sweet suet jam tarts - they're yummy! (And I bet mince pies would be really good too).0
