Know what you mean about the interest.
Found out this month, that by only paying the minimum on one of his cards, after interest OH was only paying off approx. £1 off his outstanding balance each month!!!
Yeah, it has made me realised that when I thought I was paying off x amount a month - the amount was actually minus £45 - that has really erked me realising that. Why oh why didn't I pay attention before...oh well at least it is today rather than in months and months time (or maybe even never).
Bloody credit cards.... :mad:0 -
Its easy to overlook things, I just opened my argos statement, forgot that I had bought something for £10 the other month, last month did'nt open my statement because I thought there was nothing on it.
DS opened it today when I looked i have been charged £17.50 for missing the £2 payment, how stupid am I .
They have cancelled the charge when I rang up ( something i would have never done before coming on here) but, I still have a late payment on my credit file.
I am so mad with myself for being so stupid, i have been really good and accounted for everthing I have bought and then I have forgot this one thing aghhhcc debt ( end dec 05) 6485

Hi Miffi
I was exactly the same until the end Dec/beg January this year. I was paying about £150 a month in interest. I knew the APRs but it never really registered before that I was paying this £150 a month to someone else when it should be mine. Over the last few weeks I have managed to get the interest down to £40 a month, lower one day if possible. Now I just have to move a few more balances and change my signature.
Good luck with your quest.0
