Would you invest in copper, and if so how?

I understand the copper price has fallen 80% in a year. Would you invest and if so how exactly?

You could always become a plumber, you might need to retrain, the way things are going there might not be a mortgage industry in a few years....;)

I was watching Bloomberg yesterday afternoon and they were saying that copper (it was mentioned as one of the worst) still had some way to fall. I know nothing about commodities but thought I would mention what I heard, that's all

    I've been Money Tipped!
Copper theft is massive round here. and other bits of buildings.
  • Someone needs to tell the plumbers merchants, copper cylinders have not fallen by that much:mad:
Commodities are very volatile at the best of times, unless you have the £££ to corner the market I think it is best left alone

Surely if copper has fallen 80% it can go back up some. World population is increasing exponetialy. Uk, we have a recessionary period for now, but given time? No?
  • Plastics have started to replace copper in plumbing, probably due to the (then) high price of copper. I guess it will aways be required for electrical cable............

Tulips have never returned to their peak prices. Beware of this kind of argument.
