Sorry 4 all viewers, this is long because i dont know where to start, so i'll start at begining...
I found out a few weeks ago that we are in debt(partner kept it frm me) w have had a lot of rows and split up over this, but we decided to pull together again and wrk it all out..
I've been in touch with cccs and thay have been v helpful, spoke to them yesterday.. it turns out we in over £4000 of debt:eek:
OH has an agreed overdraft of £1000 but is over that by £500.. hes with barclays and they charging him a 'reserve fee' can that be claimed bk?
Also 2 yrs ago i put a claim in with Barclays 4 my charges... it got put on hold, but now im wondering if i fall under this financial hardship im hearing about..? and do i still get the interest up 2 today on that are is the interest frozen along with my claim(hope that makes sense)
(we are living off credit completly, im a stay at home mum, he wrks full time and all over time he can get plus a evening job at wkends)
I dont really know what to do or where to turn, like i said i had NO idea this was going on, am mad about it:mad: but me and oh are trying to work it out..
I have just had my 2nd baby(in dec) he has serious heart probs, so it has cost us a bomb in tickets to and from london specialist hosp..
we are on a pay card for our gas and cant even afford that( council property refuse to double glaze, so its costing us £50 wk, 4 a tiny flat) the heat comes out and the weather comes in.. am v. concerned about this as my ds2 is meant to be having RSV( injections to prevent him gettin a serious cheast infection that can put him back into scbu) except our local hospital is still decideing(after 2mnths) whether they have the funding, despite london hospital dwn their bks about it.. where do i stand with the council on this one? also my oldest son is freezing his poor little feet off..
Sorry its so long winded, just not sure where to post..
Thanku in advance 4 any advice..

You need to post an SOA on the Debt Free Wannabe board."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

I would post a thread in the benefits and/or disability forums for advice on what (if anything) you may be entitled to

I think you contact your local council for advice on a homefront grant (If I am wrong, I hope someone will correct me) which can pay for insulation. This is available for tenants, not just council tenants.
It may be that you should be looking at bankruptcy? (Look into it and see how that would help/ impact upon your situation.)
I'm very pleased that you are trying to make a go of it through this, and wish you all the best.0 -
thanku everyone..regarding the grant.. what is that5 about

and is there anyway ican just copy and paste to other forums?0 -

you should pop into your local carers trust- they are great with advice- you may be entitled to a carers allowance once your child is home, it isnt much but would give you a regular income and not sure but there may be charities that'd help with travel and stuff i know theres some local to me but i think it depends on whats in your area, again the carers trust would be able to advise you.
