    I use a lexar x40 speed 1gb card with this same camera , no problems but would like a faster card , for continuous shooting , as i feel as if the buffer fills up a bit too quickly , imo

    lol - just a fluke of ebuyers mental pricing system. When they run out of stock the price shoots up. It'll probably go back down again when they get more stock in.
