Me too. Solid, hard and well earned cash is much more satisfying to spend - and you know the spend is now a necessity.

Especially when the snobby assistant on the till in M&S thinks your lack of Amex/Visa is contagious and thinks that touching your paper money will infect her too. LOL.

we shop online with tesco or asda and pay the delivery charge, a luxury? well, we spend less online than we did at Lidl, the asda site suggests cheaper alternatives for any item we select! we dont have to struggle packing goods, parking, elbows+trollies in the store. Tescos often have a 5p/ltr fuel discount for spending over £50 on shopping. the online shopping adds up the bill as you shop, helping with cost watching.

I would have thought the elbows and trolleys are the highlight of the week.

Ditto, although I do it online because my back is so bad I can't make it around a supermarket without major painkillers, and as for loading/unloading the car forget it!! I regularly use mysupermarket.com as it does an automatic comparison with tesco, sainsburys, ocado and asda to see what the equivalent price would be, then when my shopping is sent to Asda I use any evouchers I have! I used to get a bit embarrassed getting my shopping delivered - what a way to use my money - until I realised how much I was saving not doing 'impulse' buys, buying some things in bulk, etc

  • I have one of these cards, and i have to say they are amazing, I have the set £4.95 fee a month so no individual transaction fee, I have a shop in crewe that you just walk into and load your card, and 30 mins later, Transaction complete, and off i go spending, with no debt after. plus everywhere takes Mastercard, Card looks good, plus your able to view your statements online.

Is this card accepted everywhere that takes Mastercard? I only ask because I signed up to the PayPal Topup card and that said it was accepted pretty much everywhere that accepts Visa except it is not taken in that many places. It's in effect, a Visa Electron card with restrictions!

Thanks for the info, I've just applied as I'll be needing one of these after tomorrow!
  • As far as im aware Mastercard is accepted everywhere, I've used it loads this week, It has raised numbers on the card like normal credit cards, In fact there is nothing on the card that gives it away that its a Pre Paid Credit card.
