My reply is posted here, to verify on that site that its legit.
Hi
This is Martin Lewis from MoneySavingExpert.com - someone has reported this thread to us.
This, as everyone above rightly says, is a nasty scam. Neither the site nor I do personal advice, we're a journalistic website, and we'd never call, and definitely never ask for bank details.
Its very offensive to me that someone is using my reputation as an attempt to try and scam you. Please do contact the police and your bank if you need security. Also if you have any details on these people we would love to try and take action so please get in touch via furtherhelp at moneysavingexpert.com
And of course, you may be rightly questioning is this post legit after what's happened. So I have dupicated it on my own site where you will see it has my official avatar.
Regards
Martin
UPDATE NOTE! For some reason my post hasn't appeared there, if there are any members of that forum here, please would you link to it.
