Hi
I really want a Seiko Sportura model (SNL015P1), priced around £500.
Can anyone recommend a supplier who honours the guarantee and can be trusted? I've had a look around and found BritishWatchCompany.com at £419, but their accounts are overdue at Companies House so I will not buy from them...
I also tried creativewatch.co.uk and visited their premises in the Jewellrey Quarter, Birmingham, they wanted £495.
Many thanks.

£440 seems the cheapest on Froogle2 Tickets to Blackrock Masters Tennis:j0 -
You can get it here at findwatches
for £473....but, there is 12% cachback through quidco, which brings the price down to £416....
Alternatively, Cockrams have it for £453, and they have a shop in Fleet if you are in the south.

If you have any tesco vouchers you can change them to deal vouchers and get 4 times their value. I did this and then ordered my Seiko from Goldsmiths.

My wife bought me a Marinemaster SBDX001 from SeiyaSan in Japan, comes with a WW guarantee and will honour this himself.
Very reliable (check out the Seiko/ citizen forum for rurther recommendations of him and a couple of others) he is also more than happy to send it as a gift!
You can pay by paypal or CC and we had my watch within 5 days, a very nice man and very trustworthy.
If you want any details let me know and don't forget that Seiko sell quite a few models in Japan that no one else sees here in the UK.

Seiya-san is a very reliable watch seller. website https://www.seiyajapan.com
Another reliable seller is chronograph.com - they have it for 580 dollars (333 pounds) shipped http://www.chronograph.com/store/mli_viewItem.asp?idproduct=1373 (bearing in mind that if you buy from abroad you could get customs charges).0 -
I bought the Seiko Sportura Titanium SNA017 from Ebay member lublu4u for £180 a few months ago, it retails at £350. If you buy on Ebay, go for a UK seller, otherwise watch out for import duty!
item number 8905642483 for £275, free postage on ebay at the moment, 99.7% feedback rating.
You can probably get cheaper if you track a few of these watches over a few days on ebay. You could also try Fat Fingers to get a bargain http://fatfingers.com/Default.aspx

gift from earlier post means no duty.
P.S have you seen the MM?

(PS these guys are well over the odds price wise)
I looked long and hard at Swiss watches and if they weren't owned by Swatch then they didn't make their own movements.
The MM has the auto movement from the Grand Seiko's, top doller mate check it.Tips are good, tips are good, you know that tips are good!0 -
I managed to get one of eBay too, UK seller and paid £90 for a watch that retails at £295, it is genuine (had a jeweller check for me) and comes with warranty. If you do choose eBay or want some more info post on the eBay board, one of the regulars on there (think it was Hintza) gave me loads of advice and had a look over the auction for me too!2p off is still 2p off!0

Wow, another great response...
I like the look of Precision Time (found with PriceGrabber), at £390.
There are suppliers called TimeDon, and watches1st but they are not Ltd Co.s and likely not safe.
I bought 2 wathes from Ebay and both failed within six months. The "guarantee" offered by one was useless when the German company received the broken watch. They insisted that water came through the winder. On their waterproof watch. And I would have to pay. So I stopped buying from Ebay, though I'm sure there are some good traders on Ebay. It's just that I don't want to play guinea pig no'more with rogue traders. In fact I wouldn't buy anything mechanical or electrical on Ebay, but I buy art etc all the time.
Chronograph.com is a good price (£332) but will have to work out the import tax on this - anyone?
Thanks!0
