Will PGCE Training Bursary Count As A Mortgage Income?

I am looking at applying for a PGCE Secondary Maths course with a Maths Enhancement course starting in January 2010.
To do the whole 18 months, I will be paid a bursary of between £12000-£16000. Will banks accept this as income towards a mortgage application when combined with my husband-to-be's salary? Or will we just have to use his salary alone?
Thanks very much.

My boyfriend's undergraduate bursaries weren't taken into account
Have your consulted an independent advisor?

Some lenders may take some of this into account.
However it will depend on the merits of the whole application put in front of them.

We'll have a deposit of around £6k-£7k and are looking at properties under £90000. The only debts we have are student loans.
Thanks again.0 -

But these are different financial times to 2 years ago. The only way to know is to ask! - As in ask bank/BS that you are thinking of applying with.:j I hope my comment helps :T0

I'm having a similar problem at the moment, I have a contract starting in September but most banks won't touch me until then - Only the Halifax but their rates are quite high!0
