At risk of ID fraud

Hi, I dont know if anyone else on here has been in this situation. 2 days ago, I recieved a letter from English Heritage (a confirmation of my direct debit instructions). This letter had my a/c details, my name, my addy, etc.
My problem is that the envelope hadn't even been sealed when it was sent. The most basic mistake anyone could've made.
Anyone could have taken the letter out and written my details down and use them fraudulently in the future.
I went to the bank and they tried to fob my worries off, said that no-one could access my a/c, that their fraud team would pick up any fraud attempts, etc. However, I'd heard that they could put a warning on my a/c, so I asked for this to be done. No-one can set up a direct debit on my a/c unless I let them now, which is how a fraudster could 'attack' my a/c according to the bank.
I need to know if there is anything else I can do to protect my a/c. Maybe there isn't, but I need to know that I've done everything I can to protect my money from possible threats. Thankyou for reading.
