Focus group - Focus Pointe Global

I've received an email from this company - the name sounds sort of familiar so I guess I signed up on a recommendation from here.

Can anyone confirm they are legit? Also, the focus group they are offering sounds quite interesting but it doesn't give any hint as to where it would take place. Are they always in London, or is it worth me asking for more details - I'm up north so obviously couldn't travel to London?

Scaredycat - I have attended two groups for this company, they are 100% legit.

I imagine they are always in London as that is where my groups were.

Thanks. That's a real shame. It sounds interesting, and it's one that I would have to take my daughter to, and I'm sure she'd love it. London is too far, though. I might email them to check, but I guess it's a no-go.

For anyone who is interested, they have just replied to my email and confirm that the focus group is to be held in London, so no good for me.

Brilliant for anyone in that area, though. It sounds a really good deal. The email states that they are keen to hear from people who may be interested and have never been before so 'please pass this around'... so in case it helps anyone else...

They want mothers with a daughter aged 8 - 12 to take part in a focus group on video games. It will take place in London on 14th March and last an hour and a half. Pay is a massive £60!!!!!

They want both the mother and daughter to attend. They are asking for an email with name, age of daughter, and contact telephone number.

Without wishing to brag - I got £90 for the one I attended!! Cash in hand on the day for a couple of hours giving my opinion - I highly recommend them.

I'd love to go - if only they held them up north!

Not really a representative view of the population if they only do them down south, is it??

I know Scaredy Cat - thats where their head office is so I presume they take a mixed bag of people from London and the South East to participate.

I attend quite a few but all are in London - I work there so v. easy for me to attend.

I do sympathise, have you signed up with Focus Force and Focus4people? They are good ones but you have to check every day on the board for new projects. Mostly London but you may get lucky?

I looked at this website but could not find the link to forums - could anyone advise me how you got to do jobs with this company as they look quite good!
