I am just abou to buy this laptop from my local staples for £549. Unless anyone can find a better deal or convince me that a celeron proccessor equipped laptop for a lesser price would be better.
Also hoping to negotiate either a laptop bag or a wirless router in with that price. Are Staples willing to "do a deal"? Thanks spec below:

I think the bigger hard drive and more memory, make the staples one more attractive. By the time I stick another 256 into the Acer its gonna be creeping up.
Also I dont know if you are familiar with ebuyer returns procedure?
I would happily buy individual components from them but not a whole PC.0 -
I've been lucky with eBuyer in the past and like Acer laptops now. However, I admit to buying them at Comet! I use eBuyer for the warranties though. Can I help?0

the above has less HD space, but has a faster processor.... also has wireless internet built in..... screen is smaller than the one from staples but that means its also lighter to carry.....
if u go with the staples don't forget to sign up for the free staples points card, you can do this whilst purchasing.... you can get 5% cashback to use within the store.....0 -
Really wouldnt want the 14inch screen the laptob is to replace the desktop so we dont have to have a dedicated study area. I think the Staples one does have the wireless. Cheers for the cashback info, as 5% of 550 is a fair bit! should fund a case0

I bought this laptop last week - not from staples, but through a friend of a friend( who works for an IT company) It is great - I am very happy. Husband plays his games on th desktop and I'm watching TV surfing MSE. A very happy marriage!
Seriously - it isa good little puter. I got an excellent bag off ebay (for about a fiver) and if you have an Aldi by you, they have a notebook kit for £14.99. This has got a couple of USB hubs, a laptop light, a minimouse(which is excellent), a number pad thing (probablygot a proper name)and some other bits and bobs. Worth getting.
