Miele vaccuum bags
pineapple
I have a Miele 'Cat and Dog vacuum. Normally I pay a steep £10 for a pack of 5 bags from Comet. But today I found them replaced with an 'improved' Miele bag at a whopping £15 for 5. Outrageous! Has anyone tried any of the cheaper 'knock offs' or can anyone recommend a vacuum which picks up pet hair? I'm tempted to get a bagless model - but is it true that these spill a lot of dust when emptied?
Thanks

I usually buy my replacement Miele bags from Ebay - just make sure you're buying the synthetic bags not the paper ones (as the paper ones seem to be useless and split).xxx Nikki xxx0

Hi, done a quick scout round and the cheapest (from Miele) I can find are these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Miele-DUSTBAGS-COMPARTMENT-FILTER-filter/dp/B000C2X92M/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1236107529&sr=8-8
but I'm going to check ebay, cheers for the question and the response, prompted me to order some as I'm on my last one.:eek:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Well ..... yes ..... otherwise it won't be empty?
If you mean does it spill it in places where you need to vac it up again ..... absolutely not.
Most have a sealed chamber you just unclip off the vac and take out to the bin ... only dusty bit is when you use a paint brush to brush the filters clean. Our most recent one (Samsung) just has a button to eject the fluff / dust out of the bottom of the chamber ..... but best done over the bin!
No accidental dust whatsoever in the bagless ones .... from poorly fitting seals onto a bag!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Thanks to all who replied. Sticking with my battered Miele while I suss out the alternatives. Meanwhile found exactly the same bags at half the price from an online stockist :j0
