    Hm, you've got to be careful. Some peoples accounts are base rate - 1%, so if it goes down any more they would actually be paying the bank to keep their money in the account.

    Not really, because surely any sane person would just take their money away and put it elsewhere? Unless there was some sort of tie in? But isn't that just normally loss of interest anyway?

    I have been told by our bank that they are expecting a rate change on thursday......we are waiting to fix the rate on a business loan and were advised to wait til friday
