Tickets will be allocated for one specific day and date from a date band. They cannot be exchanged or used on any other day or date under any circumstance. Any ticket used on dates other than specified will not be accepted
Alton Towers decides which prefernce band you get out of the 5 you select
Then Alton Towers chooses which day you go on from the band you get allocated
BUT NOT MUCH FLEXIBILITY IS THERE?!
I think i shall stick to a 2-for-1 deal, go with who i want, when i want, on the day i want to!
anyone else feel the same . . .

- if it rains on that day - tough
- if you want to go with friends on that day (as even if they get the same band, chances are they will get a different date) - tough
- if you are free only on a weekend and get a weekday - tough
- if you are a parent who can only get childcare provision on certain days - tough

I feel the same, I need some flexibility in choosing a day to go. There is always a half price voucher around too.0

They're offering free tickets. It's a fantastic deal!
If it's inconvenient for someone on the day allocated, then they've not lost anything.0 -
It was the same last year, I managed to swap 2 pairs to get them all for the same day and we all went together. There were loads on ebay who were willing to swap for different dates.November £10 a day challenge. Im starting early- 66p so far!0

I sold mine on ebay and used the money on a BOGOF the day we could go.
I agree it isn't nice to have your date allocated to you, but far better this way than no free ticket at allWho made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I don't get what there is to complain about? This deal is all laid out clearly and it's pot luck as to what date you get. Even if your friends want to go to and end up with different dates, just sell the tickets on eBay and use a BOGOF/lastminute.com etc. And all it's costing you is two envelopes and two stamps (plus the cost of the newspaper of course, but plenty of people buy it anyway).0

I have booked Sun holidays before, under the same sort of principle. The dates you get are pot luck! However, I always used to write a short polite message on the form saying my other half was very restricted by his holiday dates and could we please please please have xyz date. We always got the date we asked for.
But like the other posters have said, these are FREE tickets and it is still a very good deal. Whatever the date. Personally, I have just got the Merlin passes with our Tesco vouchers. Now that is a really good deal.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -
for the price they are charging its a great deal. Even if you can't go you have hardly lost out. I am getting everyone I know to do this so we can swap if need be!0

Anything 'free' shouldn't be knocked.
But, if the process is the same as last year, there will be five 'date bands' which you have to place in a priority order.
So, in practice, you could end up with ANY day over the whole promotion!0 -
