Balloons

Hi

I 'thought' I had decided ages ago to have balloons as table decs rather than flowers as thought they would be cheaper - but all the info from local suppliers doesnt mention any prices - does anyone have any idea on prices for say 5 ballon centres for 6 tables at all?

Just trying to weigh it up - I dont want to be buying random things like goldfish bowls and mirrors to do myself as I'm a bit numb, and dont want the hassle of having to then sell them on afterwards

  • A five ballon cluster that i got a quote on would be £8.95
    £8.95x6= £53.70

    HTH
    I'll admit that I am a massive spreadsheet geek:rotfl:
OH proposed on the 1st December
New car, new house and a wedding to plan!!!:D

  • Are you doing them yourself?

I'm having a cluster of 8 in each corner of the room. That's 32 balloons. Cost of helium to hire is £30, pack of 8 latex balloons off the internet (Partyrama) pack of 8 are £1.39 each and the weights are 99p each so in total it's cost me £39.56. Oh, plus 250 metres of ribbon cost me £5.

as i said in the previous balloon thread there is a shop on ebay that sells all colour ballons in packs of 10 for 99p (i'm looking at ivory and burgundy balloons) and the ribbons and weights can also be bought on ebay that is if you were thinking of doing it yourself, the main cost would be the helium. It works out much cheaper to do it yourself than paying for it to be done but it all depends on how much you want to spend!
  • Any ideas how much it is to have someone come in and do them? (I'm not v arty and can do without yet another thing to do morning of the wedding - I'm aiming to be up at 6am as it is :S
  • no where near you but i have a price list for someone locally...allblewnup.co.uk 3 balloons and weight £6.50, 6ft tower of balloons is £16 all includes set up costs.
  • I started another thread about this and after lots of looking have ordered from: www.click4balloons.co.uk

Had a quote from a local shop for £7.50/table for 3 11" balloons with weights + £20 for delivery and set-up.
  • we live in kent and i for a friends birthday had 12 clusters of 3 and it cost me 36 pounds and that included the weights. it worked out a pound a balloon and the weights were free.
  • Think I'm going to ask an arty friend of a friend and see if they will do it - for £100 if I get all the stuff off Ebay

Also I've had a thought of a balloon release - so Fancy foil hearts and stars for the tables, and 1 latex balloon for each day guest with a tag on - the best man announces in his speech for them all to write their hopes and wishes for the new couple and we take them outside and let them go - good photo opp

Tacky or sweet, I can't decide?

And is there any problem with releasing 50 balloons at once at all?

sounds sweet! good idea i think.

I received a brochure from confetti.co.uk today and they have all different types of baloons, weights and ribbons for near enough the same price or less than on ebay, the brochure's free so try that too!
