Hi there,

I'm looking for a loan up to £10k for a friend. He has no CCJs, no mortgage, one CC (just got) and is self-employed.

Are there any places that are more likely to take him on than others? I'm guessing repayment would be over a 5-year period.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

Thanks!

:-Joe

Just bumping this to the top.. Sorry ;-) he's just applied for a loan at his bank (Barclays) so we're waiting on that right now. Could anyone suggest any other decent loans? Thanks!

Applying at your own bank is always a good place to start. If Barclays say no, then you might want to wait a couple of weeks so the searches dont show up and affect his credit rating.
