Buying beauty creams on ebay

Is it safe to buy beauty creams on ebay? Has anyone bought anything of a user called foreveryoung 2007.
There feedback is good, but I'm not sure if that means much these days. Has anyone ever bought off these, I'm after a very light face peel. Thanks for your help

  • I've never bought from that seller but Ive boughts bits of makeup on ebay which have been fine. If its a face peel though I'd probably prefer to pay a bit extra and buy it in Boots or somewhere I know is reliable.

Having looked at that sellers site, I'd be wary of the fact the products are so cheap (consider what they are meant to do) and are a brand which I've never heard of, but then again I'm a cautious person! On the other hand they have a lot of positive feedback so it could be worth trying but do a patch test first.

I have bought face creams in the past, not from this seller though.

One lot was great, the other was nothing like the genuine thing.

I now stick to a store, Boots or Debenhams.

Thanks for the replys, yes they do seem very cheap thats why I was cautious. I'm not looking at getting a strong peel just the fruit acid one in a very weak solution, and would definately do a patch test first.
There feedback is really good, and after trawling the net I can't find a single bad review of them so I think I will get the stuff and see how I go!
(I will do 10 skin tests before I put it anywhere near my face though!!)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I bought some elemis products a few months ago, advertised as brand new. Only to find that the bottle was years old and gone off.

I will stick to paying full price.

Im sure thats the name of the seller who I bought off, but I will have to check in my ebay account. Ive looked in my emails but must have deleted it. I bought a vitamin c serum off them....which is lovely. I havent noticed any devasting affects on my skin as yet. It was very very cheap compared to shop bought serums. I know serum is very cheap to make if you have the right ingredients.

I have bought a 30% glycolic peel off someone as well but that was a different seller and I never had problems with that either.

I will check for you. :)

Ive just checked in my ebay account and I did purchase the vitamin c serum form them, as I said it is lovely.

I ordered my gylcolic peel from Bravura they sell on ebay and off their website as well.
Just make sure you do a patch test firstly on the inside of your wrist and wait a couple of days then do a small patch on the side of your face. I didnt think it would be suitable for me as my wrist itched like crazy but my face was fine! There are a few products which I cant put on my skin like loreal creams but the acid was fine.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks in advance for your help :)
Ps Just checked ebay 0 items in stock at the mo :(, if anyone knows when they re-stock, pls post, thanks!
No one said it was gonna be easy!
  • I buy Elemis products from Ebay. Before I confirm my bid, I always ask whether the product is sealed and how old it is.

If you are looking for a face peel, I can recommend Elemis Tri-Enzyme range. I use the face wash, the serum & the night cream. I find them less harsh but with great results.

Thanks for the replys. After lots of research I have found a local salon thats offering a first peel for £25 its a Agero peel so I think I'm going to try that for my first one. (Its off Skingenisis if anyones interested).
I am going to get the vitamin C serum myself, its a great price isn't it!

Shays_mum I would go for the day time one for your first time, leaving it on all night might be too much.
Im now thinking of Botox aswell! I hate my frown line but I wont be buying that off ebay lol!
