How to finish the corset lacing (Landy dress)

My mum was in a pickle when I tried on my dress as she did not know what to do with the lacing when she has finished tying up the corset back of my dress. She tried a bow but even then she had a long lengh of the lacing fabric left over dangling down the train of my dress. The dress is from Landy and I was wondering whether they just give way too much lacing fabric. Could I trim it?! Do you push the excess inside the dress to hide it? Any suggestions on how to finish lacing properly would be great.

You are supposed to put it inside the dress.

So I tie the bow then push the excess back inside the dress? I am serisouly going to have to loose some more weight! It is so tight i would stuggle to push lacing the width of a single hair through once it has been tightened up! Oh well back to the fitness DVD's! Thanks we were playing with my 'tail' for some time and we wondered if pushing it through would be silly!

Mine was way too long so we cut it off leaving enough to tie up and stitched the cut end up.

On the day it was tied and then pushed under the dress but mine was a princess style one so it didn't show.
