Walking group in East Kilbride

Does anyone know of a walking group or beginners jog group in East Kilbride? Just moved in to the area and wondered if there is a group that meets up after work to encourage people to get fit.

I'm in EK too and havent heard of any such group. HOWEVER last night me and dh were out for a walk and bumped into a group of ladies jogging and walking down Kelvin road so presume they came from the gym up there?
The loch up at Stewartfield is always busy with walkers too

Think that is the Canon gym so will contact them to see if there is a group. Had a look at meet-up but can't quite see what I'm looking for. Thanks for replies though.

I think the Canons gym has been taken over by Nuffields recently

Yep it is Nuffields now - Someone else mentioned the Heritage loch it is always really busy with walkers/joggers especially in Spring Summer time. We have a running group use our street every Monday night for practise - they just run up and down for a hour or so - maybe you could just tag on the end of them ( they might not even notice) Think it is an athletics club.

There are a few hill walking clubs that go walks at the weekend - they are Duncanrig and Lady of Lourdes - they always have articles in the community section of the Ek news so may be contact info on that - EK NEws comes out on a Wed ( highlight of my week...)
