Thanks for popping in guys :beer:
@ Epsilondraconis, (great name btw) I've set up transfer details from my account to his now, learnt my lesson the hard way! Good tip with the transferring £1, I shall definitely do that in future.
@skysky69, the babygro was totally indulgent I know but in my defence it used to be £19.99(+P&P) and I got it for £12.99(+P&P) :rotfl: and I've been oggling it for over a year! Don't worry, I'm not really trying to justify itUnfortunately there's no point in DH trying to find an evening job as my maternity leave finishes in a fortnight and my shifts are 7pm-11ish. It does mean I can ask for some extra shifts though which will hopefully boost our income a little. He was lined up for a factory job, tonnes of overtime, but unfortunately his placement was veto-ed as he used to deal with the company in his old job and the manager has taken a dislike to him (they were a rather demanding customer and DH's company weren't pyschic
)
Well we haven't been doing very well with NSD's this week, added to Tuesdays spend that I've already documented we spent £65 on the shopping which I'm quite pleased with as it included flowers for my friend just out of hospital, 6 cards (birthdays and Mothers day) and 2 packs of wrapping paper - I intend to start making things like that in the future but there won't be time this month and I get 10% discount at the supermarket anyway so it works out best financially.
Yesterday wasn't bad :rolleyes: DH got a tip off that some poor guy had died and left all his camera equipment to a local charity shop! He was very reserved and I'm very proud of him, he spent a grand total of £12 on a tripod (and £5 on an enormous fluffy reindeer for the kids but that may have been my fault.....:whistle:) which we do need as our old one is so flimsy it can hardly hold the weight of the camera. Apart from that he had to pay £50 for the months fencing and boxing lessons which we already knew so had the money ready. I took the opportunity to print out the postage for the days ebay sales - £60 from 3 buy-it-nows that I never expected to go for that price :j - and listed three more items.
With the post we received my babygro :rotfl: and the new tax credits notice, and guess what, it was wrong again :mad: am I surprised? No. Got straight on the phone to them to tell them they're morons and to get a new notice sent out - but only AFTER I'd gone through the details with the woman to check that, in theory, they were correct. So if that hasn't arrived by Monday I'll get back to my MP about how they're still mucking us around.no more news on the JSA claim or Council-tax benefit but I'm expecting that to be a couple of weeks anyway.
So today so far, woke up to find that someone had paid for an ebay purchase from Sunday and that the buyer from yesterday had bought ANOTHER of my items (not that I'm complaining you understand!) so I had to cancel the postage from yesterday, as with the new item the parcel was over the weight limit, and reprint a new label. Bang goes the NSD :doh:. As of now I'm putting a total veto on any more spending and 'postage days' on my ebay listings! But as today's a write off anyway DH is getting in a few supplies to enable him to work on the garden. We were planning to do the garden anyway this year and with DH being unemployed he's taken it on as his project. Obviously the decking and brickwork will have to wait until we're getting a passable salary coming in again but if we can get the prep work done in the mean time then it's cheap and keeps morale up a damn sight better than sitting around watching daytime telly. :T

So, I considered myself a reasonably intelligent human being and yet I TOTALLY missed the part where it says support for mortgage interest is only available to people on INCOME BASED JSA. Why doesn't that surprise me......:rotfl:
