You just beat me to it.

You paid by Debit Card originally? They have retained the Card number and put through another transaction .... by keying the number and making it a 'cardholder not present' transaction?
You can ask your Bank to dispute the transaction .... if any of this really happened!
As undercharging you £ 200 on a £175 item / immediate threatening letter sent Recorded, but lost in the post / and the extra £40 means you have no money for a week ................... isn't exactly adding up?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

I agree. If they hold the card info without your consent it is illegal. To charge you again on the card for whatever reason without your authority is again illegal. If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0 -
Least NOT FORGET the News of 30 12 2008 where a Student faced a £100billion overdraft shock!. Seems that Barclays had debited the wrong account with two withdrawals of £50billion then recrediting the account. Honesty in reporting the error was worth ONLY£10 to a Mr Moffat by "been passed from pillar to post" after making the error known to Barclays. Would you really want to Bank with Barclays – a Bank that allows some £100billion to go astray then won’t accept any RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY for it?. Obviously Mr Brown and Banks have one thing in common – they are UNACCOUNTABLE just like he is.Have you proof of the payment demanded for the goods and with regard to any small print stated?. All Bank Transactions are UTC time stamped – to which ONE PAYMENT would normally apply in paying a one-off stated amount. In providing your credit card details one can be either over charged or undercharged as to debits. To be overcharged and receive a negative/no response one should provide ones own Bank with evidence of such correspondence such that they investigate since they do manage your financial affairs. IF a seller debits a lower figure than that expected then it’s a sellers problem as to its financial administration given that it had a figure for a ONE_OFF transaction. In identifying the mistake the seller should then contact the buyer to seek an additionally agreed payment – error acknowledged and payment due. Whatever the situation both Parties should be able to provide clear evidence of a transaction as to goods and absolute amount payable!.FOR YOUR PROTECTION: If you are using the internet to pay for something keep evidence. By pressing the keys “SHIFT” + “PRINT SCREEN” a COPY of the screen is PASTED onto Windows CLIPBOARD. If you then paste the screen shot into a Word Document you can then save the SCREEN SHOT as a document – titled by the transaction!. I don’t normally pay by the Internet but IF I do I keep copies. ALSO – When accessing your Bank account keep a copy too as a record of to your balance – think – in being digital what proof have you to your wealth given that paper now remains in trees!.WINDOW SHOPPING PRICES: I recall needing a screen filter to save my eyes and couldn’t believe my eyes when looking through a Staffordshire shop window to see an incorrectly priced item that I needed. After entering the item was scanned and screened a 30 pound price tag whereas the label showed only 10 pounds. Alarm bells ringing an army of staff then emptied the shelf while I stood at the till being denied the purchase - ummm!. I reached for my phone to then call the Police but in realizing my aims they then accepted my 10 pounds. Given that shop prices are well well above manufacturing prices how does PM Brown expect people to SPEND SPEND SPEND when inflated prices feed the Gov in VAT?. VAT was introduced as a LUXURY TAX for those whom had money yet now applied to almost everything!. RIP-OFF BRITAIN and a RIP_OFF Government.
JUST REMEMBER: Record all DATA as to Authority too in safeguarding yourself. Besides saving screen shots [ Shift + Print screen ] when on the internet take pictures OR use a recorder [ dictaphone ] - especially in UK Police Stations, at meeting with Solicitors or any other people either in authority or whom you employ as your representatives!. Corruption is RIFE so use Technology to best effect against them - the providers of it!.0
