Ordering Indian/Asian groceries online

Options
Hi

I recently moved to Inverness and there's hardly any Asian grocery shops here, so at the moment have to drive to Aberdeen to go to specialist Asian shops every fortnight:( However this costs me at least £20 in fuel, not to mention spending 5-6 hrs driving! Trying to see if there's any specialist Indian grocery stores which also operate online and came across https://www.mullaco.com which stocks just about everything i could wish for at sensible prices. Great! i thought until i saw their delivery charges to Inverness....£19.95:eek: I was expecting higher delivery charges to IV postcodes but not soooooo high!

Anyway does anyone know of any other online stores carrying a similar range of goods to Mullaco which has reasonable delivery charges? I know of itadka, theasiancookshop, spicesofindia. natco-online etc but their range isn't good as mullaco and their prices are a bit steep. Otherwise may have to bite the bullet and order from Mullaco if no other option exists.

Thanks :)

I have to be honest, I'd pay the delivery charge to avoid driving 5 or 6 hours!

Yeah you are already spending that much on fuel and you would save a lot of time

Me too. Fuel costs dearer than delivery and no fighting way through Nairn, Elgin etc.
Otherwise I'm sure you will like it up there.;)

Thanks for you replies. Well i emailed Mullaco and got a really helpful answer, so will order and see how much i have to pay extra on top of the 3.99:

"Thank you for your enquiry and concerns which i fully understand.
Why don’t you place your order and you will only be charged £3.99 for the P&P initially. I will then pop down to the post office and get a price and let you know the extra charge. If you are happy, you can go ahead, otherwise i will give you a full refund"
