We have an old Hinari breadmaker that I bought second hand, my son does not like the heavy doughy taste of the bread it makes. Does anyone know of a bread maker that makes bread that tastes more like a bakery bread:question:
The Which report recommended the Morphy Richards and I have read loads on here about the Panasonic. But haven't noticed much about the taste and texture of the bread they make.
Can anyone recomend please? Thank you

Hi there,
I have had a Morphy Richards Fastbake for years and have recently swapped it for a Panasonic. The MR was definately a good breadmaker but I have to say I find the Panasonic makes a much nicer loaf. It makes a loaf much more like a shop bought one. HTH.

I was satisfied with my Morphy Richards until I bought a Panasonic. The bread in the Panny is equal to any shop bought uncut loaf!:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0

Thank you for all the replies. It does look like you get what you pay for, as the Panasonic seems to be one of the most expensive. Now to shop around. I think Amazon have got it for just under £70.
Thanks again0 -

Panasonic, no question. I can quickly knock out loaves which are like the ones you buy - for the best idea of what a white loaf looks/tastes/feels like get yourself along to M&S and buy a 'white crusty loaf' (small size, paper/cellophane packet) for 99p.
Main difference with making your own is it's fresher and a fraction of the price. Plus you aren't just limited to white, either!! Of course you have to slice it yourself.....
As an aside, tried slicing then freezing a brown loaf when going away without my breadmaker - turned out lovely when defrosted, popped in microwave for a few secs to make it warm, used it to mop up mince sauce and gravy after roast lamb. Next day had the rest toasted with a boiled egg.
My sister has used a Panasonic every day for the last 7 years so they last ages even when constantly in use.0 -
I'll have to show hubby these posts to try and convince him it's worth the cost.
Thanks again.0
