But you do have control over the file, thats the point surely! You decide what information you store in it and you can decide wether to store all of your passwords in the programme, remove them if you want as well.
It all depends how satisfied you are with your PC security and how much effort you put into securing your PC.0 -

But if that is the point why do other banks and the FSA/BBA specifically regard it as a 'wooly' area legally. Be interesting to see what happens to any fraud cases that arise in court with regards to this an dthe outcome0 -

As far as I am concerned this is irrelevant as far as the Egg Guarantee. They only have to pay out if it is their error, their negligence, or they caused the fraud. None of these apply if someone gets the details from your Egg password safe on your computer.
And then presumably you won't have any protection from your actual bank if they have a clause preventing you using an aggregation service.0
