And also what a nation of cruel sick pre-historic angry mob-like animals we are, if that were the case...

It was a member of your party that came up with the court of public opinion, you can't have it both ways.

Bit like the FOI Act, which doesnt seem to apply to them also!

As sweet as it is of you to try and inject some perspective in this thread, you're battling against dogmatic denial... it's like trying to get blood out of a stone.

So it would appear. I'll go bang my head on another wall.

They started to block their expenses coming out because they were exempted from the freedom of information act. They are still working on doing just that.

They also just Vito'd the minutes of the war meetings to overcome the FOI act and also, to overpower judges.

I was in fact referring to your comment about hanging the entire cabinet. Evidently you assume everyone is as uncivilised as you are.

no doubt the inquiry into her expenses will find that she "did nothing wrong", as she was so quick to remind us all when the story broke.

of course, it will never dawn on her that it doesn't really matter whether or not she broke the rules. she just won't be able to understand that the right thing to do was to claim the rent for the london property and to pay her own mortgage, regardless of how much time she spent in each place. i bet you could spend three weeks trying to explain it to her and she just wouldn't get it.
  • The other dodgy area of this case is possibly for her sister, I believe that there were queries about the Tax situation for her, then a hastily prepared statement was put out saying that Jacqui Smith did not pay her sister a penny in rent which most people would find very hard to believe....

the statement i read said that she paid rent to her sister and her sister paid tax on it as appropriate.

    *sigh*

Exactly my point. You think 'public opinion' wants the cabinet to be hanged.

I think you're an angry nutter.

    The end.
