There will be no milkmen left soon. I am paying £1.67 for 2 litres but in my opinion the supermarkets are giving milk away so that everyone sacks their milkman,then they can charge whatever they like!!0

My local Aldi sell litre bottles for 49p. Strangely, the two litre bottles are about £1.50.0

my husband cares - being a dairy farmer and being paid at the moment 23p a litre - I know these are hard times but if you can support the british farmer it does help. I won't go into the 365 days an year and long hours etc.etc.etc.!!! Also the hygiene rules/inspections etc.that british farmers have to follow are much more rigorous than in some countries. Supermarkets always use milk as a loss leader to lure you in to buy things you don't really need.:o0
