They will either pay you the rest off pro rota or perhaps take a percentage of whats left and give you the rest. However, if your going to save enough it is worthwhile.
And I really think you should knock that £24 insurance for work on the head!0 -
Are you in a contract with telewest
Phone telewests cancelations line, these will be the only people who can reduce your package, tell them that NTL have given you a better offer and you would like to renegotiate your deal. I did this for my grandad only two days ago he was paying £53 a month and I got it down to £40 a month
EDIT: here is the free phone number for disconnections 0800 0730591Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
Hi
Thankyou all very much for your replies. I will look into cancelling the 24.00 insurance we've never had a day off sick in years and then it probably wouldn't pay enough to cover the basics. I will defintely ring Telewest back thanks for the phone number, the original package from them was only £30.00 but has slowly crept up.
With regards to the endowments they having been running for between 10-18 years but all are due to mature in 7yrs.
we remorgaged 3yrs ago to cover our debts then (do we NEVER learn !!!) extending it to 120,000 of which halve is repayment. Not really sure what to do about this0 -
Definitely look into changing house insurance. When i looked into ours and searched for the best quotes around, Direct Line came out tops. We were already with Direct Line but the quote i got off the internet beat our existing quote.
By cancelling our policy and applying again straight away on-line we were given a promotional rate not available for exisiting customers. We ended up saving approx. £100 a year, have slightly better cover, and by applying on-line via r-points website, gained an extra £20 in cash back points too!!!!!!
And to top it off, Direct Line refunded £10.92 in an over-payment for that month!!!!!
All completely legal, and i even called Direct Line to check it was ok to do so, before i cancelled policy.
Good luck cutting back. We are currently dvd tarting, as we do not get free-view where we live (real shame seeing as someone gave us their digibox for free).
LWhat's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave :mad:0 -
Hi,
I agree and did the same as Lydia, got my new renewal from Direct Line, which was about £200 dearer than the previous year, shopped around, then went back on-line with D. Line but in husbands name, and nearly halved it. Checked with customer services that it wouldn't be invalid and the lady there said "No, it's a different name/therefore a new policy!"
Good Luck
