If you have paid cheques into your account, does the OR investigate where the cheques originated from?

Not as a rule, unless you are telling him you only earn say £120 a wk and you have had cheques paid into your account for £500 a wk for the past 2 years. Could be lots of reasons why you have the cheques, family helping you out, money owed to you of course if its the latter he will want to know how much they still owe you.

That would depend how big they were. If they were for £1000's then they would want to know where threy came from. Small amounts they wouldn't bother.

That will be fine. Post BR and after then loosing my job my mum helped me out like that. My OR never asked to look at my new account post BR and the only one who asked questions were the benefit people and me mum had to write a letter to them just say she had given the money to help out and that was fine.

No, the OR doesn't communicate with the benefits people.

It's possible that the benefits office wanted to see bank statements and wanted proof of where extra money was coming from. Or they wondered how K2nga had survived with out benefits before. There are a number of things it could have been.
