Cheapest and most expensive cinema tickets in the UK

Just by-the-by, if you're a studnet and known someone with orange, you can get 2 for 1 tickets at a student price. In Hull, that's £3.50 for two tickets, £1.75 each!Any advice given is done so purely on the basis that it be taken as guidance and not a definitive answer to a question. If you are uncertain or confused, always consult your own legal representative.0

Cineworld has to be the best by far £10.99 per month direct debit, as many films as many times as you want, whenever you want.
Ive had one of these cards for around 4 years and think its a great investment.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
Most Expensive: Vue cinemas in London, tickets cost as much as £8.80 at "peak times" (i.e. evenings and weekends)...
cheapest: London Odeon cinemas... £4-£5 each
(thats excluding the £10+ per ticket in the West End, eg Leicester Square!!!)YO!0 -
Cineword Enfield (used to be UGC) also charge £10.99 a month unlimited films. There a few drawbacks however...
You have to sign up for at least 12 months. They also have a very frustrating ticket booking system. Unlimited card holders call a their own number and can order 1 ticket per call. This means that if you and your partner both have unlimited cards and want to book to see a popular film, there is no way of making sure that you will be sitting anywhere near each other. You can of course choose seats if you buy a ticket at the cinema itself (as long as the film is showing that day), but at peak times the line can be BIG. However for singles, seeing off peak showings or films that have been out a while the unlimited card can not be beaten, in my opinion. (It is also hopeful that Cineworld will address some of these flaws soon).0 -

If you live near Milton Keynes, Easycinema is 50p if you book early or it is an unpopular film , but new releases are £3.50 (sorry, just looked, £4.50 after 5pm)0

Here in Yeovil, Somerset only one cinema - Cineworld. Full price ticket is £6.
Other cinemas are approx 25 miles away so not aware of charges.
I subscribe to Unlimited which at £10.99 is the best bargain ever.0 -
I agree with the comment about Vue - amazingly expensive. About £6.25 in Reading at normal times I think. Plus, Orange Wednesdays are just too manic so I try to avoid them.
The best bit about them is that you can use the machines and buy tickets to avoid all the queues. It amazes me how many people don't use them though and queue up like Lemmings!
Bad point about Vue - about four months ago they stopped making their own fresh popcorn and now just empty pre made bags into the big glass containers. Well, I didn't really mind myself but one of my friends wrote long letters and complained about the taste and the price hike. He now goes to Blockbuster beforehand to buy his popcorn as a protest to Vue!
I don't really do popcorn however - instead I just stride in with a big coffee from Starbucks next door!!0 -

I agree about the queing but in cardiff cineworld cinema, unlimited cardholders have their very own ticket collection point, therefore no queing. Well maybe 1 or 2 deep at peak times. Its a winner.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
Went to new Odeon in Huddersfield on Wednesday (as part of Orange Wednesday) & it cost £4.75 a ticket, it's £5.75 at peak times. I didn't think £9.50 for 4 of us was too bad but it was cheaper when it was UCI.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0
