    Evening everyone.

Rosepink - big hugs to you love and to everyone else who's down or out of sorts

3tabbies/Boddy - UPDATE ON THE CAT. It was the first thing I did when I got home - knock on next door but one's to find out. The poor wee thing was still up there this morning in the freezing cold and snow and the squirrels and magpies were having a go at it. So they called the RSPCA who relented on the 48 hour rule and referred the job to the fire brigade.

The fire brigade came out and decided that they couldn't help because there was no access! (they could have got through if they'd negotiated with the council).

So in the end they phoned a tree surgeon who came out with ropes, swung up the tree, picked the cat up and abseiled down again. And they wouldn't charge her a penny. So a happy ending - the cat is home, safe, eating for england and warmed through once more.

Talking of the snow, had an interesting drive to work. Just glad I have 4 wheel drive. One stretch of road was blocked but I managed to find a very snowy detour. About three inches had settled by the time I got to work. But I made it in and most of it's thawing now.

My flying this evening will be the proposal. I'm feeling a bit better about it - I emailed the skeleton to someone with experience last night for comment and it's come back very positive.
