mumofjusttwo, thanks for the link but it didn`t cover jsa. Surely Iam not penalised as my OH works over 40 hours a week

After you have done you tax credit tc, if you are possibly entitled to JSA it will take you on to further pages. I take it if you haven't then you aren't entitled but I am not a professional . Only realised two weeks ago that there were 2 types of JSA.

Evening :D I had a very cute time babysitting and have been very lazy since I got back. I read the paper, went through the TV guide for the week, watched Timewatch - oh, and S & S the kitchen after dinner  Will have to fly a lot tomorrow :o

Strange request on behalf of my elderly Aunty ........... She loves Strictly Come Dancing and had the final recorded and was watching it over and over again (kept her happy!!) Unfortunately, she has managed to declutter it  She is quite upset. Does anyone have it? If so, can I get a copy somehow? Will pay any costs, postage, etc. I know it's a long shot, but thought I'd ask.

Hugs and prayers for you all :A

Have you tried iPlayer for Strictly? Just checked iPlayer but they only keep them for a limited time
Am sure that they had DVD's in store but not sure what they were about.

Nicki, was wondering what exactly qualifies someone for JSA I have three children but they are older now... have been trying desperately to get a job but no luck...I am also retraining:o

From what I can understand JSA is for anyone who is unemployed and not entitled to Income support. There are other conditions so maybe you could ask over on the benefits board? Sorry I can't be more help, I'm entitled to Income support until DD is 10 (for the moment) so the information I have is pretty useless sorry. :o

That great. How much does it cost please? Do you have a link at all as I can't see for looking and am so tired I can't see the woods for the trees :D

It cost me nothing as I went through New Deal for loan parents - I even got paid £15 a week to do it ;)

If your OH works over 40 hours then you won't be entitled to jobseekers from my understanding. Sorry I can't be more help.

Sounds like you and Valli need to get together and swap french fancies!

I did get my letter today from work. It doesn't really say much, just that the team meetings are part of my training and so I need to go to them come what may. And that I'm not suspended, but as am bank staff they don't have to give me any work if they don't want to. It was couched in management speak and put more politely than I've put it. I feel a bit better about it all now and am not going to worry anymore. I've done my best to sort things out, and can't do any more about it, just wait til the next team meeting in April and go to it!

    Night all, sleep well

ETA:won't be about much tomorrow as am going to spend the day with toxic's daughter. I'm so looking forward to it as she's such a sweet girl. I'm going to pick her up (she lives in my old town about 30 miles away) and bring her back my way and then take her home in the evening - I didn't want to ask her mum to do one of the journeys in case she called the whole thing off. Anyway, see you tomorrow or Monday

I've just come back from visiting Nan for the second time today.

The settling back home is not going very well at the moment but it is early days and I hope given time she will adjust back. She has a problem with her electrics tripping which is distressing her alot. I think it was her kettle doing it so I've cleaned out her old one and so far so good. I've brought the offending item home but it has not tripped my electrics yet, strange.

Just having some cheese on toast as I've had nothing since lunch.

DS3 managed to burn his finger on the AGA whilst I was out and DS1 feels sick so has a sick bucket, poor hubbie had to deal with all that.

Going to have a quick browse around and then bed, I can't beleive it's gone 10 already.
