Hi
I saw a post on here some months ago for a website called Banana Books:
http://www.bananas.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/catalog_10602_40154_100?cm_mmc=Google Adwords-_-Google-_-banana books-_-Bananas Homepage
The prices are pretty good, but there's not much choice.
I bought three books, which I've just finished reading - the Alexander Trilogy:
They are historical fiction, telling the story of Alexander The Great, from his birth through all his adventures to his death.
I read a lot of books, and these have to be up there with my all-time favourites. They are exciting, gripping and fascinating. While they are clearly fictional, they are grounded in historical fact.
Anyway, check out Amazon for some reviews/ plot summary (they pretty much all get 5 stars).
Sorry for the long post, but for anyone who likes to read / likes history / adventure / a good story, then these are an absolute gem.

Hi,
I've read the Alexander books too. They are good. Definitely recommend them, total steal for £1 each.
Had a look around banana books website, not really much else that takes my fancy though.

If you find the other Bananas thread there were lots of problems with delivering and poor service. I got someone elses order and then when I called was promised my order would be on next day delivery. 2 weeks later and my order still hadnt arrived and I ended up cancelling. Wont be using them again0
