Insurance

Hi Guys

Just moved into rented accommodation prior to bankruptcy (30th March) 29 days and counting. Have been trying to obtain an insurance quote for contents but on most of the questions they ask if you are bankrupt. I am not yet but don't want to start insurance policy and then when made BR have to inform them and they cancel my insurance. Anybody help are there any Companies out there that offer contents insurance for people in my position??? Thanks
 Unlucky Lill

I had no problem with insurance (car/contents etc) when bankrupt...only with the electric company who wanted a guarantor. Surely it only becomes an issue if paying by installments?...I paid everything either in cash or direct to an account- still do!

  • I have got Contents with Accidental cover with the AA and I told them that we are in process of going BR, she noted this and we had no problem getting Cover
  • You could try More Than (Royal Sun Alliance). I have been very happy with them.
